    Yaokai will lead the Momen Workshop on June 11, walking participants through the platform’s capabilities and how to build AI-powered applications from scratch. His session is designed to give teams a hands-on foundation for their hackathon projects.

    In “Before You Build: Understanding Risk in the Age of AI,” Allan will guide participants through the critical ethical and practical considerations every builder must account for before deploying AI in social contexts — covering bias, privacy, accountability, and unintended consequences.

    Eshaan will close out the week with “Agentic AI: History and Future,” a forward-looking talk tracing the evolution of autonomous AI agents and exploring what’s next for this rapidly advancing frontier.

Requirements

What to Submit

Participants can build working or demo prototypes of their projects. We would recommend focusing on the impact and intention behind your build rather than a generalized working prototype. 

  1. Public Github Repository
  2. Video Demo of your Project (2-5 mins)
  3. Written Explanation of your Project (Done via Devpost)

 

Other Criteria 

  • Your submission MUST be a NEW project (All code must be written during the given time frame)
  • You may ONLY work with ONE TEAM for the duration of the Hackathon

    Measures the level of technical complexity, functionality, and how effectively the solution has been built and executed.
  • Use of AI / Technology (15 points)
    Evaluates how meaningfully AI or technology is integrated into the solution and whether it enhances the overall effectiveness of the project.
  • Feasibility & Scalability (10 points)
    Consider how realistic the solution is to implement in the real world and its potential to grow or scale over time.
  • Presentation & Communication (10 points)
    How clearly and effectively does the team communicate their idea?
  • Design & User Experience (5 points)
    Evaluates the usability, accessibility, and visual appeal of the solution from a user’s perspective.
